Guy McLimore and Greg Poehlein- two of the three Fantasimulations Associates that created FASA's Star Trek: The Role-playing Game- actually created another RPG!  The system is called the "PlainLabel Game System" and its core rulebook "Simply Roleplaying!"  is available as a free download (available here in this folder).

A gentleman by the name of Bob Portnell, an associate of Guy and Greg's, came up with a Star Trek RPG "overlay" for the system!! It is available here in this folder for free!

I have been told that this is an example of the way Guy et. al. would have approached the ST:RPG today!
