Romulan Convoy Escort Scenario Line of Battle: Player 1 Romulan On turn 1 3 Type I Whitewind cruisers (1 begins cloaked) 8 Type I Baydron Transports On Turn 3 Player 1 gets 3 Type 2 Whitewind cruisers (enter cloaked) On turn 1 Player 2 has 2 D-7M cruisers 1 D-7S cruiser (enters uncloaked) On Turn 2 Player 3 has 1 D-10H cruiser On Turn 4 he gets 2 D-32C cruisers (enter cloaked) Romulan Victory Conditions: The Romulans must escort at least 5 of the 8 transports safely across the map (regardless of the number of Cruisers they end up with). The transports are not allowed to "warp out" Klingon Victory Conditions: Destroy half (or more) of the convoy After Action Report: The D-7S and its 2 accompanying D-7M's enter the map in the top left hand corner. On the opposite corner of the map there are eight J-4 Baydron transports with their escort of one cloaked and two visible Type I Whitewind cruisers. Player 1 allocates maximum power to movement (except for the cloaked cruiser). Player 2 moves toward We close. Player 1's 2 visible Whitewind's fan out left and right, leaving the convoy unprotected. They move 10 hexes in the first turn. My cloaked Whitewind only manages to move half as far. But it moves directly for the D-7S Player 1’s J-4 transports move 9 hexes across the bottom of the map. Player 2’s D-7S moves 5 hexes towards me with the 2 D-7M's lagging slightly behind. I'm pleased. this means he's probably got shields and/or weapons powered up (an unnecessary move at this range). I was hoping he'd do that; the further away from the convoy that I can engage him the better. Turn 2 A D-10H appears in the Upper Left. (player 3's flagship). Something to deal with later, but too far away at the moment. During this turn we continue to close. Turn 3 I receive 3 more Whitewinds which head cloaked toward the sacrificial lambs at 5 hexes/turn Turn 4 Player 3 gets 2 D-32C's, they enter cloaked in the upper left. I know that if he does not uncloak them and scream towards my transports they won't be a factor. Player 2 fires on and hits one of my cruisers. All his weapons are discharged and he's only managed to inflict minor damage to my left V-7 (mainly because he opted to fire from long range where his odds to hit me were poor). During this turn. My freighters move yet another 9 hexes and 3 of them split off heading higher on the map. They are my 3 sacrificial lambs. Turn 5 Hell Breaks loose. In Phase 1 Player 2 spends his armament early. Everything misses except one good hit to my V-7 on the right. That cruiser loses it's f/p disruptor bank to damage. Phase 2 All his weapons are discharged and my cloaked V-7 uncloaks Phase 3 My Type 1's are all 12 hexes from the D-7S. I open fire on him destroying the lead D-7S with a combination of a Plasma Beam and disruptor fire from my right V-7. My damaged cruiser scores a hit on one of his D-7M's, hitting an unshielded hexside. Turn 6 I cloak all 3 Whitewind Type I's and head toward the sacrificial lambs. Player 2 arms and shields his D-7M's (slowing them again) While Player 3's D-10H catches up to them now. Player 3's D-10H discovers my damaged Whitewind It goes up in a Glorious Ka-boom!!! 3 against one. My other 2 Type 1's Turn and face the D-10 & D-7's. The lambs head directly for the Type 1 Whitewinds, They have a job to do. 6 times 9 is 54 hexes for 5 transports. Player 3 panics realizing I'll probably win. (Ha!) I've tied up their assets in the middle of the board while 5 little Indians move along the bottom. In the next turn My Type 2 Whitewinds will be an outside factor. Players 1 and 3 take the bait and head for the lambs. My remaining type 1's face his group decloaked in phase 3 Just out of his reach. The Big Bad D-10H ate another Type I Whitewinds But they managed to kill a D-7M first and badly damaged the D-10H Player 3 uncloaks his birds of prey and speeds them up (too little too late). Summary of remaining turns My last V-7 Type 1 was eaten by the Big Bad D-10H The D-10H and remaining D-7M were in turn eaten by my 3 Type 2 Whitewinds. The D-32C's killed all 3 Lambs, and were engaged by the Type 2's. At that point, the 5 little Indians exited stage left.
