(please excuse duplicate mailings; I'm working from several lists)
Following the success of our "Christians and Islam" series in May and June and "Solutions to Violence: The Moral Equivalent to War," we're planning a new series called "Muslims and Christians in Conversation."
We will gather on Saturday mornings, beginning September 18, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Mennonite Meeting House, 1236 NW 18th Avenue, Gainesville.
We're waiting until September 18 to start because our Muslim partners are observing Ramadan until September 11, when they're celebrating Eid Al Fitr.
This new series is based on a book called "A Muslim and a Christian in Dialogue," by Badru D. Kateregga and David W. Shenk.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the bulk rate of $14.00 each.
This  new series is part of the peacemaking programs sponsored by the Beltram Peace Center and the Gainesville Interfaith Peace Coalition (GIPC).   Attached to this message is the GIPC Timeline, as a bit of background on our work.
Looking forward to seeing new and old friends on September 18!
Grace and peace,
Eve MacMaster
