The Peace Ribbon honors the victims of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars by creating individualized cloth panels as a memorial to the fallen U.S. soldiers as well as the Iraqi and Afghan civilians who have died. The Peace Ribbon has been displayed around the United States since 2005 and will be on display at the University of Florida's Plaza of the Americas on December 1.
There will be a panelmaking workshop on Tuesday, November 30, from 5:30-8 pm at the Reitz Union, Rm B60. All materials and instructions will be provided FREE. Workshop is limited to 48 participants so register NOW with me at email@example.com

ps: Many folks who have seen the Peace Ribbon display alongside the Vets for Peace Memorial Mile along 8th Av, Gainesville, at the end of May each year. Several people who have seen the display have asked to participate in a panelmaking workshop. Please help spread the word that this workshop will take place on November 30 at the Reitz Union, University of Florida campus, Rm B60, 5:30-8 pm. I look forward to seeing you Tuesday, November 30. You can park in the Reitz Union garage easily at that time.
Also: we will display the Peace Ribbon on the UF Campus, Plaza of the Americas, on Wednesday, Dec. 30. We could use some help that day putting up and taking down the display. Can you help? Call me.
